Credentials with DVIM

We are so excited that you are considering membership with all of us at Destiny. We consider credentialed membership as an honor, privilege, and responsibility. It is an honor to serve the King side by side with other individuals who share the calling of God in their lives. We consider it a privilege as coming together is not a right any of us can claim, but give thanks to God for the ability to share our lives and calling with one another. We voluntarily take on the responsibility to stand with and pray for our brothers and sisters across the globe as many may be facing situations that need our assistance. We commit ourselves to serve one another always preferring others before ourselves and thereby ensuring that we are of a mindset of service. To be a servant-leader in the Kingdom of God is a great privilege and responsibility. We have four three levels of credentialing: associate, licensed, and ordained. The latter two have the option of adding a Chaplaincy credential to show that they have completed our DVIM chaplaincy program. All applicants for a chaplaincy add-on must complete the DVIM training regardless of previous experience. Previous licensure with another organization will be taken into consideration when applying for credentials. Destiny will match the licensure level if the application is received in good order. Once again, we are excited that you are considering membership with all of us here at DVIM. You will find detailed descriptions below for various credential levels.

Certified Chaplains

DVIM has a very robust chaplaincy with an intensive training program for those who desire to serve as a chaplain within a local police or fire department. Many chaplains also serve in hospitals or other settings. Some regions do not have embedded chaplains and so our program allows those departments to have access to licensed chaplains with no expense to their departments. Chaplains with DVIM must be either licensed or ordained with Destiny and then determine if the Chaplain’s qualification is something they desire for their specific ministry situation.

Associate License

An associate license is granted to those who successfully apply for membership in DVIM and have all the necessary documents to begin training in ministry. This license acknowledges that the holder is actively involved in ministerial training. This level may not perform legal services such as marriages and funerals or other legal matters. This license is designed for the individual who is new to ministry and desires to be discipled with the intent of entering into full-time ministry. Ministry supervision is required at this level from a licensed or ordained minister.

License to Preach

Those who receive a license to preach are publicly recognized for what the Lord is already doing in their life. At Destiny, we use this level of credentialing to observe an individual who is in full-time ministry as defined by their ministry. A minister may be bi-vocational and hold this level of credentialing. A licensed minister must be active in the ministry of their local church and have the approval of their lead pastor. Additional recognition as a chaplain begins at this level. Licensed ministers must be directly connected to an ordained minister for oversight.

Ordination

The ordination is the highest level of credentialing that is available through DVIM. Ordained ministers have a great responsibility in ministry. Not only for their own personal ministries but also a responsibility to other ministers within DVIM. You may be called upon to serve in leadership capacities in your regions and around the world. We are so appreciative of our ordained ministers who have voluntarily given of themselves to serve the body of Christ in a leadership capacity through Destiny. This level has the highest access on our site.
